This year the Friends of the Fort Lauderdale Libraries were asked to judge the outstanding program award. Judges Narda McCarthy, Trudy Jermanovich, Donna Krbavac and Barbara Correll enjoyed learning about the activities of other Friends groups. They also found it a great way to get new ideas. The Broward County Main Library has allowed us to glimpse into the future by implementing the first real Cybrary in the county.  For those who might be wondering, a Cybrary comes from blending of cyber (as in Cyberspace or the Internet) and library.  It is the extension of what we once thought of as books, reference items and such, all reached by access through a computer.
