The Book Fair has the usual subjects but also by special displays that include Best Sellers, Author of the Month, Science Fiction, and Mysteries. A Collector's Shelf contains first editions, rare or unusual books and signed copies. On occasion, unique collections are available. Recent ones have included comic books, military history, the occult, and feminism.
On the first Friday of every month a special event is held at Main from 11:30am -3:00pm. Featuring the pick of that month's donations, there are books on a wide range of subjects, all in great condition and always at bargain prices. From children's books to literary criticism, there's something for everyone.
Mark your calendar and find the jewels!! The Book Fair is operated entirely by volunteers and all proceeds go the support the Main and Fort Lauderdale libraries.Donations of books, videos, CD's, etc. are always appreciated and are tax deductible. They may be brought to the Book Fair at any time or to the loading dock, depending on the quantity. See the Donations page for more information.

The Book Fair is loaded with interesting new and used items- books, magazines, videos, CD's, DVD's, audiotapes and even art prints! Items come in daily and range from current best sellers to rare and unusual books.
